Meet the counselors

Today was probably one of the most happinest Bodwell days I had in months. I got the chance to meet about 1/3 of the counselors during our First Aid training and they were all really all-around friendly people.

It's so emotionally draining worry about the admin team and work that I've been having so much trouble sleeping. I even have subconscious confrontational dreams. Imagine being on your toes even in your sleep. What a way to mess you up, eh?

I can't believe that half of Summer is almost over. I'm going to try to make the best of the remaining Summer. And I have a hunch it will be a great Summer :)

I want to post some fun/unique camp stories here but nothing too interesting has happened yet.

We do have this one HK boy who would not sleep by himself so his counselor has to sleep with him. The ironic thing is that he's not really that young at all. 12 years old to be exact. Back in HK, he's used to sleeping with his sis and mom so being all my himself on the other side of the planet doesn't work very well with him.

Here's another interesting email I want to share:

Hi Michelle,
I had a lot of fun camping yesterday! I hope you had fun too. What
was your favourite part about camping?
Love,
Vivian

Michelle's response:
i like sleeping. what about you?

LOL! What can I say? She's just like her sister =P

I'm still here

Life isn't very fun at the moment. Working in the Bodwell admin team has left me feeling quite paranoid, sad, unconfident and uncomfortable. Sucks. Esp 'cause those qualities are everything that I am not :P kidding!

So here I am staying another 4 hours overtime and yet not gaining any more respect nor appreciation. Nada. I think I had complained enough. I'm counting the days down 'cause in 2 days...I'M GOING TO BE A COUNSELOR AGAIN!! (senior counselor, to be exact). A part of me feels so relieved and reassured me that my Bodwell experience would be saved somewhat but another part of me feels quite demoted. I just want to thank all my friends that had to endure my rantings and was there for me through all those crapola. When the conniving bishes make me mad, all I have to do is think of you guys and it makes it a lot more endurable :O)

I want this to be a relatively light entry so I want to share an email with you.

My email:
Hi Michelle!

How are you doing? Have you started reading that Junie B. Jones book
yet? What was the title? I can't wait to read it too when I come
home next week! I hope you're being a good girl and having fun at
your swimming classes!

- Vivian
