Like sister like sister

My sister is a funny girl. I am really against her going online too much. This is coming from her sister who is online pretty much the instance her eyes open in the morning, and is the last thing she sees when she goes to bed. Who am I kidding, the powerbook hardly leaves the bed. It likes to snuggle.

Anyways, as I was saying.

Kids learn from example. So maybe I should set a good example and go online less. Yea, no. Michelle is even more MSN inclined than me. She has somehow learned to change her username, picture, and changed her lettering to odd alpha gifs that dance around. She just turned 10. This is kind of scary.

Though I remember when I was 10, my dad showed me some program that made a butterfly fly around, and I looked at the code and tried to recreate it.

That was kind of scary.

Kids these days. A 11 year old student of mine asked me if we had Adobe Photoshop SE 2. Egads….

Michelle and I had a fun MSN convo today:

Michelle: The canucks lost
Vivian: Oh no ☹
Michelle: ☹
Vivian: Who’s your favourite player?
Michelle: Jason Doig
Vivian: (….who is Jason Doig) Is he a good player?
Michelle: cool

I don’t know if she thinks he’s cool or what that was referring to.

On a side note, Angel and I like to go to McDonalds a lot after dinner. Though we don’t usually eat McDonalds, we just sit at a corner and enjoy our alcoholic beverages that we buy from Jusco (our fav the grocery store that is the size of a major dept store). One time we had this Japanese prune cooler…it was pretty disgusting. Next up on the agenda: Great Britain shots.

In terms of food, there isn’t anything you can’t get in HK. I’ll miss that…esp the strawberry kitkats ;(

The Little Things

No matter how crappy of a day I have, the littlest things cheer me up. And no, I'm not talking about the "little things" girls always talk about such as when a guy surprises her with a personalized card or poem or some shit like that (honestly, that isn't called a little thing).

I'm talking about looking forward to Afternoon Tea at Cafe de Coral!!!! Their Afternoon Tea Sets are so good, I think I've had all of them. My fav has got to be the House Sandwich which has bacon, lettuce, tomato, ham and cheese with toasted bread. Top that with a glass of HK Milk Tea, and I'm in heaven. And you know what else rocks? It only costs $2.50cdn! Ah, the joys of HK eats.

Another little thing that I look forward to -- going to North Point. I manage the office there, which means I'm usually there alone. It's so nice to come to a quite office, with no constant phone rings, screaming kids or mundane tasks like laminating paper.

Ah, the joys of the little things. The stuff that gets you through the day. Cheers to that.

What are yours?

I know for Cherie, it's her glutinous rice balls ;P
